Posts: 127 OHIO | I can't find it in the manual, but is the trunk light suppose to come on automatically when you open the lid? I know the switch has 3 positions. Right now 1 spot turns it on, but the other 2 do nothing. I thought I remembered it coming on automatically, but maybe not. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | one - known issue. two - I THINK there was a replacement switch under warranty for it so that in the ON position it would go off when the lid is shut. The presumed problem is that the switch does not depress enough to turn off the light or there is some contact that causes drain to the battery. Some have put an extention boot on it to make it depress further so I've heard the talk. I for one have been bitten twice and have never had my switch replaced. I have never had mine replaced because I turn it off when I don't need it, and only turn it one when I do need it. |

I have Forward = off, Middle = off, Back = On. In the on position, when the button is pushed in the light goes off. However, if I shut the lid, assuming the button is depressed, the battery drains. |

| With the lid flipped up and the switch pushed all the way to the front, mine is off. The middle position is on and the furthest rear is swt activated. |
