Posts: 192 Republic of Tejas | Okay guy's, i'm shooting for mullet of the week. Friend plugged his cellphone charger into my trunk outlet adapter and blew the fuse for the trunk and electric winshield motor. Windshield is in the fully down position. The question is how do you get at the rear clip on the fuse box cover on the right side of the bike to remove the cover and get at the fuses? I've tried a small screwdriver, car brake drum adjustment too, and small allen head wrench as it had a 90 degree bend in it to no avalil. Need to get this figured out before something more serious happens out on the road.
Thanks in advance,

Posts: 192 Republic of Tejas | Got it done guys and thanks for the replies. Per Kevinx's assist once I removed the two plastic darts securing the plastic cover and removing it on the front side of the dash there was just enough 'wiggle' room to get the back fuse block cover clip to release. Got the blown fuse replaced, raised the windshield fully up, and reassembly was a breeze. Have any of you other Vision Jockey's had any issues with recharging cellphones or iPOD's with the trunk charger?
(note to self, next time trunk charger is going to be used, make certain windshield is fully up!)
Thanks again. |
