Ex Harley rider here just bought a new Vision 8 ball...Love it!!!!!!!! Traded my streetglide and so far glad that I did. I am having dealer to install XM radio. I am reading complaints about Vision radios - any one have advise about the XM radio install? Also, any feedback about going to the stage one level two exhaust would be greatly appreciated. Are the Arlen Ness big shots better???

Congrats, my dealer has been waiting for a Vision 8 ball since August. Can't wait to see one in person.
I have the Ness Big Honkers on my bike. Love the sound.
Stock they were good, did the cam upgrade after 6 whole miles on the bike and they sound great.
I like the XM radio but listen to my Ipod most of the time.

Thanks Crusier. Are the Arlen Ness honkers that much different in sound than what the dealer has?
I got lucky in getting the Vision 8 ball. Was only on the floor for a week. I saw my first Vision near Sturgis. Could not get it out of my mind....It is an amazing looking blacked out motorcycle!

Another option for the Vision 8 Ball is amplified speakers. That way you don't have the large expense of the Victory radio. I really have not looked into it too far but this company customcyclesounds.com should give you all the info you need to put in a set of amplified speakers on the 8 Ball. I had them on my Kingpin and they worked good.

The Honkers are much deeper sounding than the Level 2's. I get a little soot around my Gatlin Tips, but it comes right off.

My bike came with them. When I bought the bike, they said Honkers or Level 2's to fit the tips.
Easy decision for me. My dealer has the Level 2's on his Vision and is very jealous.

Thanks for the timely advice. I just got off the phone to make the switch in order to the Arlen Ness exhaust......so it is that much better than the victory stage 2 correct?

How does your passenger like the pipes? My only concern is the drone of hte stage 2 or the honkers might get on her nerves after a while 9and she has an intercom so I will hear about it!).

I have the Atom Bombs on my '08. My wife and I use the Scala Multiset intercoms, and she loves the sound even though it's louder than the stock pipes. We are still able to easily talk over them. They also sound much nicer than the Vic Stage II's. Nice and low and throaty. You wouldn't regret that choice either.

Just mailed mine off yesterday to go the Atom Bomb route. Having had Slashness pipes on my Hammer, I don't think my wife will complain about these.

Atom Bomb have sounded the best to me - nice an deep - you really don't hear them as much on the bike as you do behind the bike.
