Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Sorry, Y'all. All these dang OIL THREADS are driving me crazy (that plus a few Gran Marnier's & Coffee plus Halloween Candy). 50 years ago - I changed a zillion quarts of oil while working my way thru school for 60 cents/hr. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT ANY MORE ....help me.... help me.... help me . . . . |

Is this an ink blot or an oil spill?
You know sometimes an oil thread is just an oil thread.
Cigar? Anyone?

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | Were there cars 50 years ago? Yes, more info about your past and your Great-Grandpappy. I thought it was a butterfly. There is more to the story, especially with the youthfulness his co-pilot has on him. I don't think he's as old Mentally as we once thought. I bet there's a screamin' 17-25 year old just stompin' around his house, dressed in older gentleman attire. Hmmmmm!
Cigar? No, thanks, but I'd love to smell it. There's something else that goes with that great big stogie, what was It? |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Thanks for the support, Fred and Chickenman! I have burned off the Halloween sugar - and sobered up. From now on, when I read the 'O__' word in these discussions, I will think of 'Fried Chicken' or 'French Fries' or 'Deep Fried Sweet & Sour Pork' ... stuff like that. Then I will calmly head for the kitchen or the nearest drive-in, instead of reaching for my keyboard.

Hey, here's an idea: don't read the oil threads! I don't remember anything in the forum rules that specify that being a member here requires you to read every single thread and post. So if oil threads drive you nuts, don't read 'em. Sheesh! It ain't rocket science here, folks. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Sorry Rebel. I just like laughing at folks with no sense of humor, and laughing with people who do. Part of getting old, I guess.
I read these threads seeking entertainment and ideas - guess I'll look elsewhere for my amusement. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | The 'CRAZY' part of the subject only applies when I'M on a BOOZE or SUGAR high. 'Bin sober goin' on 48 hours now.... I can actually read the 'O__' word without throwing up! Can't quite make myself 'type' the whole word, tho. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | We calls them 'Nucks (or Nuckleheads if they're losing) and they play that game on frozen indoor ponds called Hockey. 'Bucks are from Florida and play that game with a pointy-ended basketball. Would make ONE HELLOFA NEW SPORT !!! Put all the players from both sports on VV's and turn them loose on a polo field. WOW - you're brilliant, Chris ! |

When I think of BOOZE and SUGAR. I prefer either Drambuie or Wild Turkey and Honey Liqueur.
Drink some when you are done "ridin' safe" for the day.
P.S. I am trying to get my doctor to write a prescription for Drambuie since I only use it for medicinal uses. Then I will see if it is on my insurance plan so I only have give the nice folks at the Liqueur store a co-pay and take my medicine home.

RadioTeacher, can you pour a shot of that now, so that I may use osmosis and apply keyboard to head. Sometimes it just feels right to hang with the boys. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | I am sad to report that last night I emptied my Drambuie. Looks like I need another Co-Pay and trip to the liquor...I meant pharmacy.
So tonight I am going high brow by nursing one neat ounce 17 year old single malt Scotch Whisky, Glengoyne. Doctor Approved!
http://shop.glengoyne.com/glengoyne-seventeen-year-old-highland-sin...
It ticks me off that I can not buy it from across the pond.
It is the only Scotch Whisky that is not made with peat. pollolittle it has no grassy taste nor sheetrock notes.
Colour Medium golden, clear and bright
Nose Soft, mature mellow oak and apple fruitiness.
Palate Vanilla, full oak and fruit
Finish A very long finish
Ride happy and safe my friends... |

mmmmmmmmmmm.... a nice snifter of the 'bouie warmed over a highball glass of boiling water for 3 minutes. I used to have that drink after running the snowthrower for half the night to get to work in the morning.
I miss the drink. I moved to NC because I was sick and tired of the snow... so there you go. |
