Well it is official, I went to the local Victory to bring my Nomad home and put in storage.
While I was there talking to the owner someone walked in and bought it.

The 2006 Nomad is history!
Filled out the paperwork on the 2009 Blue Ice Vison Tour Premium.

Now all I need to wait until next weekend to pick it up, it's going to be a looooong week.

Weather has been unseasonably warm here in South Dakota and I hope it holds out for a few more weeks.

How much out the door?

Just under $20K with all the discounts and with a 5 year warranty, if I was a had any military time
I could have gotten another $1000.

I'm happy I have been trying to by a Vision since
Sept.

Congratulations! I remember the weekend of the 4th of July this year when I committed to buying mine! I was so happy and have been ever since. I almost bought the blue too! Went with black and love it too. You have found the right bike and the right site for info and fun.

No sure on the ride difference Mongo, I only did a test ride on a demo model 2 months ago.
On that ride it felt lighter in tight turns and on the highway.
I will have to get some miles in next weekend and post my thoughts.
It is going to be a long week waiting to get the Vision home. . . .Is it Friday yet?????

Congrats, and happy safe riding. You will love it. Even in the cold weather. In Florida here people complain when it drops down below 65. Nice and comfy with the heated seats and grips at 40.

Mongo, Kioti, there is a difference in handling between the 08 and 09 Visions, just an FYI. The front end on the 09 seemed lighter when I rode one. I have an o8. I also heard Victory lightened the front end weight on the 09's. maybe it's just me. If you're new to Victory, don't expect a bike from one year to handle the same the next. Victory constantly tries to improve bikes each year. Example: new rims on the 09 hammer make the bike 50 lbs. lighter that the 08.

Congrats!
Just picked up my '09 Blue Ice Tour Premium this Saturday.

Good riding. I'm jealous of any nice weather you may have squirreled away - it's getting brisk here in Eastern WA.

Step up? What!? It's leaps and bounds to boldly go where no biker has gone before. That's like comparing the phoenix class to the constitution class...

Hi Cometman!
I remember you from the little VROC get together I organized in Custer, SD in 2006.
How have you been?
