Posts: 39 Brighton, MI | Was up in birch run Sunday and could of sworn we past a state cop on a bike , when he pulled out from around the semi I almost died. The gentleman had painted his bike so close to a state bike you really had to look at the emblem on the side of the bike and see his garb to see it wasn't a state boy. Really cool but he wouldn't pull over, If the person who owns this bike belongs to this site please post pics or better yet where do you hang out would love to get a closer look. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I held off posting something that happened about a month ago, but now would be a good time.
I work up past a State Police regional office that is on Midlothian TPK I don't usually see the motor cops, but do see a lot of troopers. I go right past it on my way home and take south Chippenham. When I come on to Chippenham I'm usually HOTT and headed for the hammer lane amongst all the crazed driver. This particular day I had come up behind what I thought to be a typical motor company bike, and thinking it was just an average joe, I headed for the hammer lane as usual. However, the colors of blue and gray caught my eye as well as the antennas and the shield on his sleeve, I was quickly off the throttle and settling in behind him. He, however, took note that I was there and soon he was in the hammer lane and I in tow.
Surprisingly we moved along the Chippenham at my usual clip as I ran with him, cool. We did the Chip in my usual time and I thought he was headed off N. 95 and I scooted past him to hit South Bound. But then I see him in my mirror headed south as well so as I eased up on to I-95 and I let him take lead again.
We stayed in the hammer lane tooling along until we got to RT 10 where I was getting off. I signaled rather early to let him know I was departing, and eased over to the exit lane. However, I noticed after I got over that way and watched him fade away, he looked in his mirror like, 'where did he go'. ... |

Posts: 363 Goldsboro, NC | How do you guys do it? I never get away with anything.
If it were me in either of those situations, it would have been the rookie cop with something to prove, at the end of the month when he is trying to fill his nonexistent (BS) quota... and his wife had just left him for another motorcycle rider.
I would have been busted for speeding (70 in a 65 zone... oh my), digesting my lunch, and probably mopery and dopery of the freeways.
If I went to court to fight it, I would find out that the summons was only for arraignment.... and pleading not guilty would only double my court fees and get me scheduled for a date 3 months in the future, by which time my license would have been suspended, my insurance rates gone up 45% and I'd be busted again for driving with a suspended license.
I hope you guys enjoy all the good Karma you have with LEO's. I know some even are on this forum... but I have nothing but bad juju for these apes-in-tactical-gear-and-the-dodge-charger-from-hell.
We all have our crosses to bear. |

Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | Some time back a coworker was traveling in Utah and read a story that the PD (she thought it was the state) had taken delivery of a new style Victory MC for their highway patrol. I took for granted that it would have been a Vision, but could never find anything to confirm it.
Anyone from the area that might know? |

Posts: 725 Reno County, KS | There is a cop that frequented the threads mentioning that he was looking to the Vision as a police cruiser. I have no idea. I THINK, if I recall correctly that he had a light kit installed on his. It's somewhere here in the forums. That would be cool if it turned out to be him. You might find the threads in the forum. He mentioned it a few times. I can't remember if it's one thread or over the course of a few but he mentioned it more than once. |
