Vision-Riders,

I would like to ask each and everyone of you for a very simple request that will most likely carry huge value to a fellow Vision rider.

I have a very close friend that had an accident on his Vision Sunday afternoon. He will be okay, but will most likely be in the hospital for awhile recovering from injuries and a surgery he now requires.

His name is Ed Chambers. He is not married, his kids are all grown and live away from him and he lives alone.

My request from everyone would be to purchase a simple "Get Well" card and put it in the mail for him. I am sure it would mean a lot if he started getting a bunch of mail at the hospital with Get Well cards from others thinking of him.

If you might be willing to help with this request, here is the address:

Williamson Medical Center
c/o Edward Chambers (patient)
4321 Carothers Parkway
Franklin, Tennessee 37067

He is being moved around right now as they are still evaluating his condition. This means I can not give you a certain room number, but if you addres the envelop as listed about, it will find him!

Thanks for your consideration in helping to make Ed's recovery a little move positive!

Thanks

.

I will do it today. What year, color and type (Street or Tour) of Vision does Ed ride?

Ed has a 2009 Black Cherry Vision Tour.

Thanks to all for your support!

He is also a Vietnam Veteran! Another good reason to drop him a note in the mail.

Thanks

He is having surgery right now as I type this post.

He will be in room #641.

Surgery is to fix the right knee, both hands, and the shoulder blade.

Will report on the Post-Op condition as soon as I know?

Thanks

Ed made it through surgery. Fixed both hands and the knee. They did not work on the shoulder?

Still in room # 641.

Thanks

Just read the post, going out at lunch to get a card. Ya gotta love the Vision, but more importantly, you gotta love its riders.

Keep us posted.

Ed is back home. He is being watched after due to his injuries. He will not be able to walk for awhile.

He is in good spirits. All he needs now is time to recover.

Thank you to all who mailed "get well" cards. It meant a lot to him. He enjoyed knowing some many others care for him and his situation.

He is already trying to figure out if he wants an 2009 or a 2010 Vision for his replacement?

Thanks
