Posts: 74 Winston-Salem, NC | I was in a parking lot getting on my new Vision. I was wearing a Harley T-shirt. A lady standing by commented. "So you wear Harley shirt but ride THAT?" I explained to her that I had just traded my Harley for the Vision. Another bystander and I talked about both brands of motorcycle. It was an interesting first interaction with people about my Vision. My friends at home are still surprised I traded bikes. I can honestly say that after riding the Vision I cannot imagine buying another Harley.
Now I have quite the collection of Harley clothes....not sure what to do about that. And and the selection of Victory apparel seems limited. I was not even aware that the name on a t shirt was an issue. But I sure dont want to give the impression that I am a Harley wannabe when in fact I am now a Harley dontwannabe. |

| So true. Ex road king owner here, and once I rode the vision there was no way I could compromise just so that I had a Harley. I love Harley overall, classic great motorcycles, but they are woefully lacking when compared to their competition.
You rarely (if ever) see a Harley ad talking about the comfort, power, handling, and capabilities of their bikes as compared to others! Harley markets and sells IMAGE, because that is all they have left.
I like the image, I like looking at the bikes. But I ride a Vision, the best American made bike on the planet.
If Harley makes a bike that is better than the Vision, I will give it a look too. But you have to be kidding me if my only Harley comparable option is the Ultra. Good grief.... no comparison. That is why Harley never compares them!

Posts: 215 orrick, mo | You can always have a garage sale and sell your harley stuff. The way they market their stuff I'm sure you could sell it all. Maybe you could make enough to pay for a road trip on the Vision. Now that would be sweet. |

Posts: 74 Winston-Salem, NC | Tough call it is to get rid of my Harley gear. It has been with me through the rain and cold, good times and bad. The city of a town I rode to on the shirts...Rapid City, Daytona...etc....hard to part with especially when riding. But I did order a Vison Riders T shirt |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I have ONE Harley Davidson Shirt. It is one from Mexico and while I was there I was looking for a black T-shirt that said Mexico on it, and that is the only one I could find. I taunt HD riders I work with with it because they want to add it to their collection. However, I asked if they have ever Rode to Mexico I would give it to them. I still have the shirt. |

I just realized, that in 48 years of riding other machines, I NEVER owned any items of clothing with M/C manufacturers' ID on them. And I loved ALL of my previous 20 bikes (and ONE wife - but that's another story).
AND NOW? I have Vision-Riders Hats, Vision stickers on my helmet, Vision-Riders T's, Vision Pilot T's, VOG Patches on my leathers.... DAMN - I AM BECOME - KEWL !!!! |

| How about getting a screen printing shop to place one of those red cicles, with the bar through it, on the shirts? |

Posts: 374 Tucson, AZ | I took all my HD clothing to a shelter and donated them. I then took all the other doo dads that my house was decorated with and dropped them off at a resale place that funds the local food bank. Now i see a lot of my HD clothes on people that live in my town and a bunch of them make it a point to thank me...kinda ironic. |

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | My wife has a pair of HD boots because she broke a zipper on hers while we were in Wyoming. It was the second day of a 2 week trip so we found what was available. Not a bad boot for the money and she likes them. I have 3 pair of HD gloves because I have large hands and am hard to fit. So when I find a pair that I like I buy them. When friends question me about my HD gloves I tell them the truth. HD has good riding gear at fair prices and if they made a good motorcycle at a fair price I would be riding one too. |

| I have a 09 V V, but let's get realistic here. I wear HD gear simply because they have a much larger variety of gear to choose from. Top-Notch quality. I go to Patriot Harley in Fairfax VA and they have racks and racks and racks of jackets, boots, pants, shirts, etc. Their floor space for gear is about 1/3 the total, so Patriot is huge. On the other hand, I go to the largest Vic dealer in the area and they have only 1/10th the merchandize. Sad commentary, but when one compares the selection between the two brands, Victory riding gear is a distant second. Now, I do have really nice Vic leather jacket and one of their helmets, but that's about it. I enjoy riding my Vision to that dealership as everyone comes out to say hi. Vince |

Good point. If the guy was wearing squid boots, it would be less of an argument against Vic's most prominent competitor. |

Dust/buffing rags for the VV!
Better yet, get a girl scout troop to embrioder an "EX-" in front of "Harley" and continue to wear 'em. It would be a nice civic gesture to provide project work for these girls with meaning... and they might learn something in the process.

I know what you can do with the shirts....take 'em to your dealer. Our dealer has the HD owners sign the shirts, date the shirt and write what HD they traded and what Vic they bought.
The shirts are hanging on the walls and look REALLY cool! |

| What makes you believe those are HD boots the dude is wearing on the cover? I know there is the orange sole strip showing, but I've noticed several brands have adopted these orange and black soles, like River Roads. |
