Posts: 3204 Memphis | My original headlight bulbs are two years old now and are probably not long for this world. I'd like to change over to an HID headlight system and wonder if you guys that have made the conversion have any insights. I'd definitely go with the full HID Hi-Lo set-up. Looking at two of these since I'm converting to full LED bulbs with this company anyway: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-HID-FREE-SHIPPING/H4-9003-HB2/V-HID-35W-SLIM-BALLAST-p4961322-1-3.html Thanks for any input or advice.

Posts: 3204 Memphis | Thanks Prime Power, The two issues I'm looking at that are different with the Vision is the PITA bulb location and the vibration of the v-twin over the long haul. Can I expect several years of life with the HIDs or are they sensitive like some of the super-white halogen bulbs that are lucky to last a year? Vibration was definitely not an issue with the LT. |

| I would hope so as these have a lifetime warranty. I know it is a pain, but I plan to do this myself many mods from now. I have read nothing but good about ddm bulbs, customer service and from my experience they are a great value. The ballasts are real slim on these and they are truly plug and play. I could do an LT in less than 20 minutes. I know the Vision would be much longer. Which is odd considering the amount of plastic on the lt compared to the vision. |

Posts: 3204 Memphis | Prime Power, I just ordered 2 sets of DDM HID 6000K Hi-Lo Systems. ($104.45 shipped.) Thanks for the lead. I'll try and do a Radioteacher style video of the install. Could get ugly. |

Posts: 3204 Memphis | H4. 5000K is pure white and 6000K has a little blue tint. Will hopefully match (or be real close to) the stock Vision HID running light. I ride with it on all the time and would like to have all three match. 7-8000K starts getting purple. |
