While riding home yesterday, I was turning off Eastwood blvd. side road, onto Rt25, 4 lane state rt. It is a two lane left turn, I was in the outside as usually, I swung wide just in case a car decides to swing into my lane, which happens more times then I can count. Mildly surprised everyone stays in there lanes and I moved forward staying to the right side, look back in mirror to make sure no one crowding my rear and check the two driveways of Burger King. As I refocus forward I notice the car next to me is moving over. I'm riding about her front windshield, I laid on the horn not believing this person doesn't see me and thinking my horn is worrfully not loud enough. I ruled out pass, if she strikes and knocks me into the curb, bad, if she strikes me and spins me around in front of her, Very Bad. I opt to brake and squeeze more right. Just as I did that she can over completely she rode up over my highway peg which went unger her cars rockerpanel and got hooked throwing my bike, as I describe kickstand angle, my auto sport spot mirror was snapped off by her sideview mirror and as was part of my clutch lever as I was jammed into her door at this unnatrual angle. I used my forearm to push myself squarely back in the seat as the bike was trying to right itself but my highway peg was hooked and kept me pinned against her car. As we moved the handle bars were doing a left right motion wobbling the bike, she moved left abit, the hwy peg got bent down and I was free, bike right itself immediately and I came to a stop Thanking Jesus I was alive and unhurt. I love stretching out on my highway pegs and will have it replaced, But now the more vigilant of what could happen. FTI the other car was a 2009 Prius. And No I didn't flip her car over, Although she might have been on two wheels momentarily.

Same here slowryder. I'm amaze that she didn't stop, or at least you didn't mention she did. The whole thing sounds crazy, and I'm even more amazed as you told the story it sounded like another day in the life of Vision rider. New York is one crazy place, having visited more than I wanted to, one time, and stayed out on L.I. I thought I knew what defensive driving was, but that trip brought it to a new level and meaning... BTW, I give thanks to God daily for my life knowing He is our fortress and refuge...

WOW !!

Might want to stop and grabs some new drawers, imagine that you probably need them after this mishap.

Sounds like its time to upgrade to the Harbor Frieght/Stebel air horn that many of us here are using. Might maybe possibly could have kept this fiasco from occuring.

So was the peg and spot mirror and clutch lever the only damages?

Have any pics of the Prius door??

Did this woman stop or did she actually just keep driving? Leaving the scene of an accident (which this was) is pretty serious business. There is NO WAY possible that this person didn't realize that she had made contact with your bike.

She rolled past me after I stopped and pulled up into a driveway 45 feet away. I put my kickstand down, turned on my 4 ways, and got off my bike and started counted my blessing when another car just missed me and a rig was trying to squeeze by. I stopped everyboby got back on my bike and moved it into the same driveway. I wanted to get a picture of where it was sitting in the lane to show she had crossed all the way over and struck me, but decided before someone smashes into my bike, get out of the way.

Glad you are ok, scary moment for sure.
I had the Stebel air horn on my FLHTC, and found the outer plastic housing broke after a few thousand miles. Great horn while it lasted, but I would prefer to find an all metal horn.
Any suggetions?
