Posts: 161 Tampa, Fl United States | I installed my XM antenna hidden & under the windsheild motor for a stealth & clean look
My reception does go in & out at times
I'm wondering from other people's installs putting it on top of the dash if you experience any fading of reception?

| XM radio requires "line of sight" from the sat to the antenna. This is why reception goes in and out in tunnels, awnings, parking garages, etc. It can see through glass and plastic but not metal. So hide it if you want "clean and stealthy".......put it on top of the dash if you want great reception. |

So do you think the brushed aluminum that wraps around the fairing is hindering the line of sight for reception?
