Hello! Can anybody tell me if the lower wind deflectors help for winter riding? My wife says the wind hits her legs somewhat and I wonder if these would help or are they primarily for the driver? What are some of you guys opinions on the lowers? Thanks.

They might help some but my understanding is they are more for the rider. You might want to pick up some heated pant liners for the Mrs instead of the deflectors? Tourmasters run around $120 or so.

They didn't have trouble with them staying on, they had a breakage issue due to the hole in the plastic being 1/16th of an inch from the edge. Bump 'em with a foot and kiss it goodbye. Any that fell off were simply installation error... the bases are very specific in their shape and if you don't use the template provided they will not sit as flush as necessary to the shape of the fairing. Secondly, poor prep of the area to be applied, or touching the adhesive, is more the cause of the adhesive breaking free. Also, use of adhesion promoter ensures a good bond.
As for the breaking lowers, I offer billet aluminum replacements that will NEVER break, plus they flow more air than the plastic ones because they don't flex at higher speeds like the stock ones do. Avaialble in chrome or black, with custom color matching also an option. Shown here in chrome:

Also, as of next week we'll also have the matching replacement billet uppers ready.

The gf said she feels a difference on her legs and sides. Probably not as much as I do, but she says they do help.
