Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | It's going to be a very long winter. My jeep is dead and all I have to get around with is my Vision, sniff, sniff. The temp is only moderately cold in comparison of what it will get. I broke out the gaunlets and turned on my grips for the first time this winter as the temp was -9 degrees, ah um, 28 degrees that is when I left the house.
But my wife thinks that I'm "suffering" because my four wheels don't work and she wants me to take her to work in her jeep and then go on to my job. She doesn't recall last winter that my other jeep sat the whole time, except for a very, very few times, most of which was not weather related, but I had to HAUL something that wouldn't fit on my bike.
I appreciate the love, but please, I wish she'd give me a break. If it wasn't for the ride I'd go bonkers, she doesn't realize that it is helping me keep my sanity...

Very tranquil ride with a few twisties. Very relaxing for the trip home. |

Posts: 271 Belding Michigan | I am looking out the window at 8 inches of snow on the deck and knowing the weather man said that tonight is the coldest night so far this year and we are to get another 6 to 12" of lake effect snow. That said quit whining I would love to have a snow free day to take the bike out all I can do is walk out to the grarge and pet it a little and make promises for next spring. Archie |

Posts: 271 Belding Michigan | I was joking. It is the price I pay for living north while I had the pleasure of riding year around while I lived in CA I had to put up the the other 9 million people that liked the weather also. Back here I have a house that would have cost me more than the national budget if I could have found it out there so I guess the trade off if worth it although some days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arch |

I am looking out the window at 8 inches of snow on the deck and knowing the weather man said that tonight is the coldest night so far this year and we are to get another 6 to 12" of lake effect snow. Now you know why I moved out of Erie, PA and now live in Eastern NC.
1) Lake effect snow
2) Erie pays engineers 60 cents on the dollar
3) Lake effect snow
4) Living in a blue state is soul-numbing
5) Lake effect snow
6) Arlen Specter
7) Lake effect snow
8) Jack Murtha
9) Lake effect snow
Yes, the yee-haws down here are dangerously amusing, but PA was unliveable. Pray to whatever god Punxsutawney Phil worships to give him a good February. |
