Posts: 153 Newnan, GA | ....for a while. My wife and I had a very deep conversation about getting a bike. Although she won’t stop me from getting a bike she has asked me to wait until I have actually paid off the car. I explained that my raise will cover the bike as I get the car paid off. That’s the part that she is uncomfortable with. I told her that is sound economical sense to do it her way so I’ll be getting a bike once the car is paid off. I can wait a little longer. Time is still on my side. |

The biggest and most important thing to remember is KEEP MOMMA HAPPY ! by doing this for "Her" now will secure your biking future.
Good luck buddy and Pay that car off quick ! |

| Here is what you do: You go buy the vision. Overpay by $3k. Dealer gives you the bike and a check for the $3k. You take that 3k and payoff the car. The 3k adds a little to your payment, but you get it all at once! And you can always pay down the loan the amount you would have paid on the car loan anyway...
As long as you buy the bike for under or near MSRP the bank will finance it. It may be hard to tack the 3k onto MSRP.
Muhahahahahaa.... |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | Sounds to me like you've got a smart wife. Winter's coming on and your riding will be limited anyway for awhile. There will be some smokin' deals on leftover '08's and '09's next year, plus the availabilty of used Visions. Use the raise to get the car paid off quicker, then get the bike.

I'm in the same boat. I make the last payment on my wife's car 3/23/10. Just in time for spring.

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I had to get my wife a new jeep liberty july 2007 before I got the Vision which wasn't suppose to happen until May 2008. However (comma) I rode away in November 2007 at her approval. |

Posts: 554 2 mi from Jim Beam n KY | Mongo Do what ya gotta do, man. While you're waiting, be sure to hang around here and learn all that you can from the guys here who are racking up the miles on the VVs. They know!! I've learned SO MUCH from the gang here, I know more about the VV than most dealers I've visited. You're not the only one temporarily stuck in a cage. I've been a fan of the VV since summer of 2007. My turn, or may be I should say our turn, to buy should come this coming spring. My SO wants the scoot as much as I do, but we have a few things to do first.
It was 46 degrees in early 08 when I took the demo ride on the VV. I wasn't expecting to demo the VV when I dropped in. But he tossed me the keys and a skid lid so off I went. I wasn't dressed for it, or so I thought. That ride did the deal. I never thought anyone would get me off HD. But the VV is a scooter that's in a class by itself!! Bide your time and take care of bidnez. I'm lucky, I've got a great local dealer in Victory of Louisvile. I hope your dealer is at least on a par with mine! And to make matters worse, my son buys his Hammer from V of L before dad gets the Vision!
