Hey yall,

From a little town in Northern California. Been reading this site and thevmc and thought I would jump over here for a bit since I'm about to take the plunge on a 09 black Vision Street. Just waiting on the dealership to find out about the black exhaust and a say I can go see it. Unfortunately it's a few hours away and I haven't had the time to go see the bike.

As long as everything goes well I should be on a Vision before the end of the month! Very stoked!!

My first mod after getting it will be to swap out the speakers and add some tweeters. I'm guessing I'll go with the J&M speakers and add some Infinity tweets. Of course I have no idea on how to take the bike apart yet but that will come in time.

One question I have, I want to black out the entire bike. I mean everything.. Where can I get a wrinkle black primary cover and on the other side (I think its the clutch cover, I know I'm an idiot but I can't find the answer anywhere.)

I will worry about the motor down the road after I've gotten her home. For now I sit and droll at the computer.

Might want to wait on the speakers until you try them out. I have an 09 TP and think the speakers are fine.

Do you mean these covers? http://www.purepolaris.com/Detail.aspx?ItemID=2876318-463(PolarisPG...

I also have a Black sprocket cover off an 07 Hammer S, not 100% sure it's the same as the Vision, might work. Anyone know?

Thanks for the welcome guys. I will definitely wait on the speakers until she's home and I can decide whats the best course of action to take.

Once I can figure out how to post pictures I will post the engine covers I'm talking about.

EDIT: Ok I figured it out. Here are two pics. The first is the primary that I was talking about. Please correct me on the terminology if I am in correct. The second picture is the other side where I was to swap out for black components.

You could opt for an 2010 Vision 8-ball which is all blacked out but it does not have radio, speakers etc.

thought about doing that but I'm getting a really good deal on the street. I'm sure the dealer can get those parts. Have to ask when i go in.

8-Ball definitely has all that stuff done for you plus the wheels, forks, brake calipers, grab rails, handlebars, brake/clutch reservoirs, floorboards/footrests, tip-overs, kickstand and aluminum pieces.  Need to add radio, heated grips/seats.  (I don't know about the power windshield.)

Too bad it's such a slow color. Maybe get Kevin to speed it up - his cams should make it as fast as a stock Midnight Cherry VV

You would also need to add cruise and the power windshield....

Yeah I love the look of the 8 Ball but I want all the options it doesn't have. I'm really stoked about this street. Just waiting to hear back from the dealership about the exhaust. Looking at the black double vision.

Rakk17, your going to have a great looking bike...I can tell. Look to Ness, they have alot of black wheels, a black 21" on a Street is nice, plus add the Ness lowering kit. But you know with them black bikes comes the swirls...Oh no not the dreaded sun swirls. Good luck on you project and enjoy the ride.
