Posts: 99 Cold lake Alberta | Saw a pic on one of the Vic Forums and now...can;t find it.
it was a black Vision and the fronst signal lights had been partially painted it looked like. Believe the work on this bike was done by a shop in California somewhere.
Would like to find that pic again for a reference.
Thank you

| When you say "partially painted" do you mean "tinted"? Like this:

Posts: 74 Winston-Salem, NC | Any idea how these lenses were tinted? Is the tint opaque covering over the stock lenses? |

I found the VHT nightshades at my local Pep Boys. I could not find the clear locally. Both can be found on ebay. I'm planning on doing my upper/lower wind deflectors. I recommend practicing on a scrap piece of clear acrylic first. |

Arizona victory has the tinted lenses for 235 exchange. OUCH. |

Posts: 74 Winston-Salem, NC | Used the VHT niteshade today to tint the amber signal lights on my Vision 8 ball. It looks even better than I had expected. The niteshade went on well and has smooth look and feel....very satisfied with the results. |

How many coats? |

Posts: 74 Winston-Salem, NC | I took my time between coats..about 5 to 10 minutes between light sprays...left to right..Keep the can shaken up alot between coats. I also wet sanded the lenses prior to spraying,,,,with 3M- 1,000 grit wet/dry sandpaper just to take off the shine of the amber lenses. This helps the tint to adhere better. The tint still leaves the lenses looking smooth. I do not see any need to apply a clear coat over the tint. The next pictures I took in the garage with the signal lights on...there is plenty of amber showing throught the tint. I am amazed at how much light shines through...still safe in my opinion.

I would love to see a picture of this, both with and without the lights on. I am willing to give up a little light output on the front as I have the headlight to make me noticable, but on the rear I am a little concerned. |
