'010 is here, '09 is gone,
We know it was a rough one.
Nothing happens overnight,
This year will be a tough one.

For one small band of hardy souls,
The days just have more meaning.
We saddle up and hit the road,
With a little extra leaning.

Sometimes we falter, even crash,
But dust each other off,
A sobering reminder,
Of the gear that we should doff.

We've said a prayer and sent a card,
To folks we've never seen.
The highest highs and lowest lows,
And all that's in between.

We come from different backgrounds,
It's the source of much discussion.
But we're old enough to nip it,
'fore it wallows into cussin.

We come from Lands Down Under,
and even 'cross the Pond.
The Canucks have our northern flank,
An interesting bond.

Max chromage or max mileage,
Whatever be your mission,
For one small band of hardy souls,
It's better on a Vision.

The only problem is that everybody keeps calling it "prose".

Can anyone in the class list 2 of the 5 major differences between prose and poetry? Beuller?
