My wife was nice enough to give me the Victory fork mounted Piaa fog light kit for Christmas.
I just installed them a couple of days ago.

The kit comes with two harnesses. One that goes to the lights, and an additional one, with a relay, for 2009 and up models, that by-passes the fuse block. The 2008s (what I have), don't use that one. On the 2008 you plug the relay into the fuse block. That's were the problem began. I don't know if the kit was supposed to come with two relays, but mine didn't. For some reason, Victory decided to use a different relay for the 2009+ harness. It isn't compatible with the fuse block.

Victory uses two types of relays in the Vision's two fuse blocks. The 301 series and a smaller 303 series. The 2008s require a 303 series relay for the light kit. I don't know what their thought process is, but they put a completely different one, an 871 series relay in the 2009+ extra harness. I did some research, and operationally, it's the same as the 301, but with a different pin arrangement.

These are Song Chuan relays and I haven't found any cross reference for the 303.

The bottom line for me was a call to the dealer, and they had to order the 303 for me. They will swap it out for the 871 that came with the kit.

So, if you have a 2008 Vision and plan to add the Piaa fork lights, open the box right at the parts counter and look at the relay in the kit. If the first three numbers of the Song Chuan part number aren't 303, you need to get the correct one while you're there.
