Posts: 176 Fredonia, WI United States | I have been playing with my iPod setup on my Vision lately. I have read RadioTeachers comprehensive guide. I must be missing something though...
The first 4 playlists work fine, but when I hit 5,6, or 7, the whole thing locks up. If I turn the radio off, then on again, it will start playing playlist 1. What am I missing? |

What year is your Vision?
What type of iPod (Nano, Touch, iPhone)? What Generation iPod is it?
For help on which one you have you can go to Apple. http://www.apple.com/ipod/
What version code is your radio running?
For help on this try here....

Older code on the radio could cause this in the past.

I have an 08 Vision and a 3G iPod Nano. I will have to go out and check the radio software.
I am really interested what version of code you are running. Like Teach, I think this might be the reason for the issue.
After my code was upgraded to 5.12a my issues like this went away.

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | Your dealer is suppose to update your bike with all updates everytime you take it in for service. They will update your bike off of a lap top. Once hooked, should be done in minutes. |

My 2008 came with 4.13 code. The latest code should fix you right up.
VisionTex,
I did not know that they were supposed to update you at every service. Is that a standard service for the radios and fuel map?

Posts: 135 Yellowknife, NT Canada | Victory has a 3 gen Ipod cable out for the Vision. I bought it and installed it. It works very well with my 3rd Gen 32G IpodTtouch. They have the wrong picture posted on their web site so it is misleading..
Part number is 2877894, it looks like part # 2877195, but with one connector to the bike.
They flashed my radio to the latest software.
I originally had the white cable and the v4 software. Would not charge my 3rd Gen iPod touch. This new cable seems to work with them all. Had no issues with it so far.... |

Posts: 176 Fredonia, WI United States | Finally today my dealer upgraded his computer (his old one kept locking up during the upgrade process) and was able to flash my radio to the latest software. Guess what? Everything works great!
Thanks for the good advice. |

Posts: 297 VA | Whinchey, you said it works on "all" iPods. Have you tested this with the older ones? Thinking of getting a iPhone in the future, but don't want to lose the ability to use my older nano which works and charges fine. Appreciate the help. |
