Posts: 256 Florida | Has any one compared the difference in riding characteristics of the Vision at HIGHWAY speed with and without the trunk?

Posts: 223 Valdosta, GA | I've been 100+ in street mode while solo, in tour mode while solo, and tour mode 2-up. Highway handling to me is no different in either configuration.
Slow speed maneuvering, on the other hand, is a completely different animal...

| Yeah, mine is a Street, and I didn`t get the trunk on until today. Big difference at parking lot speed, but i think it might even handle slightly better with the trunk at highway speed. Less buffeting too. |

I agree that at slower speeds, you can feel the trunk's extra weight. At speed
in the twisties I think it feels lighter in Street trim, especially when flicking it from
one steep lean to the opposite. It's a subtle difference, but noticeable. |

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | The trunk weighs in at about 50 lbs and the weight sits fairly high on the bike. IMO the Vision handles much better in strong crosswinds without the trunk, in fact bike just handles better in all situations without it. With or without the trunk the Vision still handles better than any other bike I have riden. |
