Have an 08 Vision Tour Premium...rolled it out of the garage today and found no resistance in the clutch lever at all. Called the dealer and they are coming to pick it up and service under warranty. Apparently there is a leak in the hydraulics somewhere although I found no fluid on the floor. Anyone experience this and what was the cause?

Posts: 156 dinwiddie, va | I replaced a slave cylinder a couple of weeks ago. thats the cylinder that does all of the work down by the primary. It was the plunger. When you squeeze the clutch, it made a noise. It is not a servicable part, and has to be replaced. They are a little bit of a pain to bleed too. So if the dealer has a time, bare with them |

Had my slave cylinder replaced last year. I was in the bad section of New Haven, CT when it failed. Higgin's took great care of me and my bike.

Heard back from the dealer today...yes, it was the slave cylinder. They replaced it and should have it back Friday. Thanks for your input.

I dont know the prevalence of this problem as my inquiry was the first one on this site....I think. My '08 steel grey premium tour has around 11, 000 miles on it and other than a leaky oil pressure sensor I havent had any major mechanical issues. On the other hand, if this slave cylinder goes you're basically screwed and the bike needs to be towed.
