Posts: 127 OHIO | What type of switch does the PIAA light kit come with? I am guessing it is a switch like the headlights. Does the wiring go down "inside" the forks?? I have my bike apart right now, and am considering putting these lights on. Thanks, RedDog |

RedDog, the switch for the PIAA lights is the same as the HID light. No, the wire does not go inside the forks. You don't have to take much apart to install. Anyway, the most important thing Dog, is to put your bike back together...and ride!!! |

Posts: 208 Wichita, Kansas | On the 08's there is no switch. The fog light plug is already there - plug'n'play. The control relay is wired to the HID switch and powered from the low beams. I just bought a replacement HID switch from the dealer, put it in the unused switch spot on the console, tapped power off the accessory line, and use it to power the lights separately. The lines go up the side of the forks. It's a short distance to where they go under the fairing and can be secured.
