| Being as I purchased the STRIPPED down 8 Ball, my bike came with neither the upper or lower wings. I am seeing a lot of chatter bout wanting the lowers with summer coming. What is the purpose of having either? |

| The main advantage of having the lowers for summer use is to turn them inwards so as to bring in cool air onto your legs and push out the hot air from the engine and exhaust. The only advantage I see for the uppers is for colder weather. |

Also use for heat like Tarpits says... it is cooler riding with the wings out in high heat! Have not got the lowers yet but will not ride without my chaps so I guess that is on the wish list after cams. |

My lowers I leave out all winter, but constantly adjust them the rest of year. When I leave for work in the morning I push them out. At 5pm it's usually warmer so I fold them in for the ride home. The air blows on my legs with some force then. Really helps to keep cool. During the summer I seldom take a jacket because I know the lowers will keep me warm after dark. Thus I can pack lighter for trips.
One of the biggest advantages I see with the lowers is they lengthen my riding season tremendously. I'll buy anything for that reason alone. |

Posts: 166 Bullhead City, AZ | Finally put the lowers to use this last week in Laughlin doing demo rides for Victory. Mid-90's sitting at stoplights gets warm on the legs. Just a little motion and it was comfortable again. The cold I can dress for but the heat sucks. I got them this winter after talking to the guys in Las Vegas. Simple to put on and I like the results. |
