Posts: 11 Port Hardy BC | Hi
We are going for our first road trip nexst week. We are crossing the border and hitting the I5 to Sacramento (just north of it). From there we hit the Napa valley and follow the coast road back to Port Angeles for the ferry to Victoria. If anyone lives in the area we would appreciate some ideas for Motles enroute. I figure two days to Sacramento and 6 back at a leisurely pace. Any help would be appreciated.

Posts: 523 seattle, wa | I always try to stay at a clean, big name motels. I have never had a problem parking the bike right outside the main door. If I get a room on the bottom floor then I park right outside my window. This time of year you should have your choice of motel/hotels. |

Cometman Thanks for the hotels. We are going to Antelpope CA to visit a buddy via the I5 From Langley where our dealership is. We wil get our initial oil change and checkup before we start. Then we plan to hitthe Napa Valley and do a winery tour, and sta a day if possible then we we will return via the Coast Highway to Neah Bay and backtrack to the Blackball ferry to Victoria. After that we return to our tarpaper shack on the edge of a swamp near Port Hardy. |

Posts: 520 Simi Valley, CA | Sounds like a fun ride. Which wineries are you thinking of going to in Napa? I would also suggest a day in Sonoma...

Posts: 11 Port Hardy BC | We haven't decided which wineries yet. We just want to be somewhere warm and relatively dry, the opposite of our home. I like the reds and wife prefers white. I will try anything that is drier than a popcorn fart. My favourite is Malbec, but that is out of the question in CA. We are neophytes when it comes to wine. My forte is salmon fishing and lures.
