Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | I went to the Honda store with my Goldwing riding buddy. The manager there says that there will be no 2011 Goldwings. That is the first time since the introduction of the model that there has been a break in production. One can also still buy brand new, untitled 2008 Goldwings. There is supposed to be a new and improved Goldwing for 2012.
The bad economy has slowed sales for everybody, but I can't help but see the irony of Honda going back to the drawing board after the introduction of the Vision. This could get interesting.

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | Yeah, I've been hearing that rumor from everybody who knows somebody who knows somebody who's cousin heard that the new GW has 2000cc, 150 to 165 Hp, 6 speed, electric windshield, power centerstand, and gets 60 MPG. The GW crowd are all excited about the "news".
Maybe it will turn out like the new Kawasaki Voyager did. I used to belong to the Voyager club when I had a Voyager XII. Many folks were anticipating a new and improved 4 or 6 cylinder Voyager with 150 HP, 6 speed, power windshield, power centerstand, and 60 MPG. What they got was a modified Kawasaki Vulcan instead. The new Voyager is gaining acceptance with the faithful about as fast as the V-Rod did with the Harley faithful.

| Like why would anyone get excited about a GW with those numbers? They had a 6 cyl for how many years? Triumph 3 cyl has 145HP. If they boost there HP and mileage I am sure it will be like their trucks and require premium fuel and then all the GW owners can ask, "Can I put regular gas in it to save a buck?" Where have I heard that before? O.o |
