| Hey All, For me t'is the season for washing and putting a few coats of wax on the bike, with of course having the best intentions of maintaining this over the riding season. However, I have noticed that I have colored outside the lines and there is wax on the plastic around the passaenger's seat. I have tried to rub it off, but no success. I was hoping someine has ideas on how I might get the wax off of my plastic parts?? FYI - I noticed that my spark plug had corrosion. Further investigation revealed that when I washed it, I did not dryout the sparkplug area. After a quick clean all is right with my world again... Take Care All

Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | It's always a good idea to go for a ride & blow dry it if you can,I've also used compressed air or a leaf blower to get any water out of the spark plug wells and handlebar switches and run the bike a bit before putting away. Ice from turtle Wax is a good product for not leaving any white residue, put on the plastic trim, paint & all-Brian |

Cold lake Alberta | I found that ICE didnt remove the water spots
So have been using Mothers or meguires so far with good luck and easy polishing
Looking for Eagle Nanao was also but cant find it.

Ruskin, Fl | Mothers "back to black" works great on black plastic that has faded or discolors. The plastic around my car's mirrors started turning white from sitting in the Florida sun. Maked them look like new for months. I use it on the speaker grills and black plastic of my Vision's trunk. |

Tucson, AZ | It seems your asking about wax build up on the plastic parts, so...I know dawn dishwashing liquid removes wax from the panels of the bike so try some on a q-tip and let it soak some then see if it will re-hydrate the dried wax enough to get it off with a dry q-tip or dry sponge. You will have to re wax the areas that the dawn gets on. I always strip last years wax this way and re wax for the new season...

| Thanks all for your suggestion and ideas. I have an 86 Shadow that needs some of that back to black stuff so I will definately be on the hunt for this. Mike - Thanks for the dishwashing liquid idea Yes I have accidentally gotten some wax on the plastic parts around the passenger seat and it leave a white shadow that will not comeo off just by normal scrubbing. I am going to give the dish detergent a try Again... Thanks All!!
