| It is in the center console. I believe you have to snap off the guages trim, and take the console apart to get to it. |

2. Remove plastic access panel in front of seat.
3. Remove the 4 silver socket button head screws from the aluminum center console. (The rear right has a wire attached. Don't forget to reattach it during reassembly.)
4. Open the glove box and remove one black socket button head screw.
5. Lift the aluminum center console up just enough to get to the wires.
6. Pull the spade connectors off the 3 rocker switches. The 4th rocker switch is a dummy blank. (Take note or picture of the wire placement so you can get them back on in the right order).
7. Pull the big plastic wire harness out of the radio.
8. Now you can flip the center console over far enough to get to the antenna wire. Just pull it out of the radio. There is nothing holding it in but friction.
When you reassemble, this would be a good time to install some low density foam to the contact points of the chromed plastic gauge bezel. If yours doesn't vibrate yet, it probably will eventually. Many people on this forum mentioned theirs vibrating. I used a computer mouse pad (foam type not neoprene or other rubber). I separated the graphics from the foam and cut a piece to fit between the bezel and the aluminum center console. Worked great and I got plenty more foam for future rattles.
Good luck |
