Just a couple hours ago I installed the Cycle Dragon Vision mufflers.

Not a hard job....took me maybe 1 1/2....not bad.

No issues....everything came apart and went back together fine. The only unforseen was the chrome exhaust covers. I didnt think about them being clamped on so after I cut the clamps I had no way to put them back on. I couldnt find anything like the factory clamps so I used good ol' hose clamps. Worked great.

After I finished I fired it up. Not bad....not a drastic or huge change but its definitely noticeable. Quite a bit louder then the S1L1 pipes Ive heard.

Cant say I think they are worth the $400 they are asking....but I did get them of eBay for $150 and I think they were worth that. Keep in mind Im a cheap bastard.....so take that last comment with a grain of salt.

Supposedly no need to remap the FI.....I havent rode the bike yet as Im leaving town for 3 days....we will see how it sounds out on the road later I guess.

It would be great if you have an option to post a sound clip of your new pipes (possibly you tube).

Thanks and Good Luck with the new pipes!

I could post a video pretty easy but unfortunately I didnt get one before......and without it the video would lose a little of its value. I will see what I can do.

I did take it out for a long ride today.....it didnt sound that different in the garage.....big difference out on the road. At an idle its got great rumble....but rev it up and it doesnt seem that much louder. Get it at a certain RPM range and hold it there......BIG difference. Plenty decent rumble.....nice and low.

My Uncle Dave and the local builder both called to ask what I did to my bike when I just drove by there....they could tell a big difference.

I retract my previous statement....they probably are worth $400.....even better when I scored them at $150.

My loss your gain. I liked them but they weren't quite loud enough for me, even though they were a big improvement from the stock pipes I had. I've got the atom bombs now, after I got used to the popping on deceleration, I really like them.
Have you had any popping with them? I never did. I never had the bike remapped either.
I'm glad someone from the forum scooped them up.

Ive maybe heard a half dozen pops.....very occasional and its not a normal occurrence. I can live with it.

No remap.....and thats why I bought these. Im not wanting to spend big money on exhaust and remap....just wanting a little something. So I jumped on these and scored big.....from what I can tell these are about as far as you can go without remap.

What did you use to hold the chrome shields on....did the kit come with something. I used hose clamps....seems to be working.
