| This is my first post so any how, I have never encounter this situation. I keep my oil changes as due give or take a couple of hundred mile on which i lose some sleep over.
Any who, I am fixing to take a trip and about the time i get between Knoxville and Nashville I'm going to need a oil change and changeing it at a dealer seems like $$$$.
I am haveing to go another 1200 mile before I get home in the July heat on the interstate.
Does any body know or have a idea where/how I can avoid the high cost of a oil change on the road? |

If you can't sleep decent with the thought of the extra mileage...just pack the oil and filter and do it yourself or bring it to an independent shop along the way and have them swap it out for you. Have a great trip and Good Luck! |

Yes i did change it as soon as I got back, so did the others, but there were no issues whatsoever. These big twins are pretty bullet proof. Go for it ! Have fun |

I did change the oil before I left and when I got back but nowhere in between. The Vic oil didn't fail on me and we rode through Arizona and Nevada when it was 110 degrees. Now talk about miserable heat, but my bike kept chugging along. We had a couple of Harleys that almost didn't make it. Kept getting overheated and shutting down on them. |

I normally use vic oil and filters from my dealer.
Each fall i travel for three weeks usually on the eastern seaboard and will run up to 10.000 km (6000mi) pulling a trailer.
I always do a mid ride oil change at walmart.....i find staff will let you set up by the service area....use their tools and pans......shell rotella and purolator filter (or carry your own) off the shelf....always had super help from staff,
Cheap oil change and an opportunity to meet new folks and talk about victory's
