Hampton Va | Hi guys .. I have had a small problem ... from time to time my tach .. speedo...and remote radio controler stop working... just go dead.... I am sure it is a conection. Sometimes when it gives me a problem then i hit a bump it will all start working... I have checked all fuses... any ideas???? thanks!!! |

| Hi my vision had this problem also (under 500 miles) - the dealer said I needed a new ignition switch. To get me by they put grease on the key and inserted it into the ignition. Their opinion was that it is caused by leaving the key in the ignition when not using the motorcycle. which allows dirt and water to get down in the switch. I have 6400 miles (5 months later) now and only has gone out twice since the grease. If you are stopped and turn the key off and on a couple of times everything comes back HAHA |

hope the exwar takes care of it. I leave my bike out, and many times with the key in it overnight (somebody's plotting) and never had that issue. I don't think that is a contributing factor. Let us know how it turns out. Also, racershawn, where are you? |

Northeast Ohio | I just had this happen to me in Daytona. Took it down to Volusia Motorsports (a great group of folks down there) and they couldn't find anything wrong. Nothing on the digital wrench and the mechanic couldn't reproduce it. Once the wife and I got on the road, it did it again. I took it back and they pulled the ground wire and reconnected it to the battery and it appears to have fixed it. I am waiting for this to happen again, but it didn't for the past 100 miles.

I had the same problem...and also...thank goodness for the extended warranty. I had a great wrench trouble shooting it for an entire day, working with the Victory tech on the phone, etc. It turned out it was the entire speedo/tac/dashboard unit...a $900 item...yikes! I didn't pay a nickle lucky me but being the 08 model I got the extended warranty and it paid for itself with that problem. But I figured it was one of those first model year bugs.
They assumption was these completely sealed units could not be taken apart and fixed...but built to replace the whole freakin unit...OUCH! |

Tach and Speedo stop working
