Posts: 363 Goldsboro, NC | Chris, the VaRyder, caught me. Mid-March, my kid left his skateboard on the edge of the driveway.  I was doing something else and did not see it.  I have played tennis & soccer.  I have taken Army combatives training and some martial arts.  I raced sailboats and I've walked the White Mountains with 75 lbs of pack.  I know how to fall and I have strong legs.  I was so surprised by the skateboard that I fell in the most stupid way you can fall.  I disassembled my ankle joint and I broke my fibula.  I was on disability for 4 months.  I tried to lurk for a while but it was too depressing, not knowing when or if I was going to be able to ride again. I've recently had my ankle fixation pins removed and I am walking after a fashion.  The limp is obvious and I'll never walk the same again.... but I rode my Vision to work today, and I am on the mend. I probably won't be the forum participant I once was, but I am back and I am lurking.  There are about 4 of you who half care, and two is my threshold for a post.    I brought art: |

As for your foot . . . ouch. But I'm glad you're healing and riding again. That has to feel good.

Limping? Hell, I look like I'm trying to do the Mambo anytime I walk. I've decided it gives me character.

Plus forget the skateboard. Make up a story. We won't tell. |

How's this: You know how you can get a broken finger if someone punches you in the nose?
Well.... I had my foot in my mouth! |

  | Damn dude. Glad you are on the mend.
I prefer you be out riding and making up for lost time than in here trying to have the highest posts. :P
I think I break my neck just looking at a skateboard.
See you on the road. |
