Posts: 284 mansfield, MA United States | I have the scorpion EXO 100 and love it. I don?t know about the heat savings but the versatility of it is awesome! My wife and I got them at Americade this year for a trip we had planned to Nova Scotia. It was in the 90?s most of the week and we stayed cool with them on. They are a half helmet with a flip down visor that goes into the helmet. Plus we where able to install the scalier G$ head set on them. When it rains you just snap the visor down and you?re all set. I changed my visor to clear but really didn?t need to. It?s fine at night. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I just bought the EXO 100 yesterday. Not what I went to cyclegear to buy, but I like it. Much better than the POS I've had for 5 years. I though 59 bucks for the mirrored shield was a bit pricey. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | Just looking up replacement shields on the web. I think the salesperson made a mistake and quoted me the price for the EXO 1000 full face. He said $39 for regular and $59 for reflective. The regular replacement is 12-15 bucks. Can't find a mirrored one. |

Like you, I do not think they make a mirrored shield for the EXO-100 . I really do like the helmet. I was thinking about buying a second one and an extra liner so I can wash it more often. Right now I wash the liner about once a week.

I've got the tinted shield that came with it, but have rarely used it, it is handy at times though.

If I do not wash my liner out every week in the summer I could not stand to be near it. Of course I sweat a lot down here in the summer. You know the liner snaps right out and will dry overnight.
Oh man here it is.....................If you never washed your helmet liner......you might be a varyder!
Hey SongFan! I am thinking about a new poster!!

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I also don't wear my exo-100 except the winter time. The exception, 12 - 18 hours in the saddle to and from California. I almost left the EXO-100 behind, literally at the last minute I strapped it down to my luggage rack. Before the first gas stop the "cool biker helmet w/stickers" came off and the EXO-100 went on for the rest of the trip. Had I not brought it, I would have been buying a new helmet, that other one is okay for back and forth around the area, but hurts my head after a couple of hours.

So what is your Summer standard helmet?
My winter helmet is a Nolan convertible. I would go helmet-less but I am quite fond of my brain.

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Victory Puddin' Bowl, that's what is says on the label anyway. I really doesn't fit me but it works for the around home commute or a blast across the state line, but other that, pppfffft! I've got my cool stickers on it and I'm too cheap to buy another one. I'm thinking about doing some carving and padding to make it fit better. |
