Posts: 7 minnesota | As you can tell from the heading my wife is small. When she sits on the passenger seat she either has her feet on the floorboards and her back is 3 inches from the backrest or if she slides back against the backrest her legs lay on the saddle bags and her feet are above the floorboards. Does anyone have the same problem? She really likes to travel and there must be a solution. Thanks |

Posts: 244 Fargo, ND | Just pitch the screws that come with those (too small and always loose and rattly) and go buy a set that actually fits the holes so you can tighten them in place. I bought chrome shoulder bolts with nylock cap nuts. Dresses it up real nice and the boards don't flop around. Mine also needed the detent spring stretched a bit so the boards would stay in the "up" position. Mine may have been an early version that (hopefully) has been improved a bit. |

What did you mean that they may not help enough? My wife is actually 5' tall. Does the kit mean only one floorboard or does it include two? Thanks for the help.
Nohawq,
What does the boards flopping around have to do with not being high enough? Am I missing something? |

You do get both sides in the kit, but only raises them 1.5". |

Posts: 162 Northern NJ | At 5 foot tall, she'll likely need TWO PAIR as did my wife.
They are stackable and as Nohawg says get proper hardware so they stay in place.
I did away with the pin & retainer clip setup from Victory as a nut & bolt are far more secure. Those clips fall off far too easily. |

Posts: 271 Belding Michigan | My wife is 5'1" tall had same problem. My son in law made me a set of risers they are 3 and 3/4 inches. Max for cleareance to open saddle bags solved the problem. He is a Knife make so had the tools to fabricate from Aluminum bar stock. best way I have found and they look like factory. Archie |

I was concerned about that, too, but have been using them about a month and they seem strong enough. She mounts the bike (hehe...I said 'mount') putting her full weight on the left side floorboard. I only have one set, not 'stacked', so can't say how they hold up in that configuration.
Just FYI - I put mine on backwards the first time. I thought it looked right/best, and worked fine, but gave a slight outward slant to floorboards. Seemed ok until our first long ride. Her legs were really strained after about 3hrs. |

| I had a friend at a machine shop copy the extensions and make them 4.5 " in length,
I don't know how she steps way up there, but she is not going to be left behind. |
