Posts: 309 Vineland, NJ United States | I ride two up most of time and pull a uni-go one-wheel trailer about a third of the time, how many miles should I start thinking about brake pad replacement. I have 11,000 miles on now? |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | If you still have the stock brake pads on your bike, they have a groove cut into the pads that you can see. If the pad is worn down so you can't see that groove, then your ready for a change. If I remember right, the front pads should be changed a ~.060" thickness and the rear at ~.040" thickness. A set number of miles is hard to give as different riders use their brakes differently.

| 26,000 miles on my originals.
Just took out the fronts, cleaned the grooves and put them back in.
Stops like brand new with half the pads left. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I changed mine at 25K. I got every bit of life out of them. I was just starting to hit metal. I caught it just in the nick of time before I damaged the rotots. I did the rear at the same time, they were overdue also. I didn't want to wait for the EBCs to be ordered, so I put Honda pads on. I am very happy with them. Same pads as the Goldwing. They cost more, but he charged the same price as the EBC. |

Posts: 175 Hinton, Iowa | Used EBC FA196HH. Popular one, easy to find. Got mine at a Honda dealer. Didn't do the front but the front EBC # is FA261HH. Hope this helps.
