Posts: 27 New York City | I wrote earlier being the winner of the 2009 Arlen Ness Victory Vision. Having received it I know it to be #104 of (200 or 250? - I have heard both - anyone really know?)
My one word review - AMAZING. Now to be fair this is my first full sized bike but I really love it. More thoughts in a moment but a few questions:
Is there a section on this forum or another to coordinate with other Vision riders in the New York City area? I love riding solo, but figure some meet ups with some other owners can help me learn more about my bike and on occasion double or group rides can be fun.
Is there a technique using the saddle bags and saddle bag inserts. I know that Victory claims more space than Harley bags but the squeezing in of the inserts and creaking of the doors in the process just don't seem right. Someday I may add a top box, but will make do until then.
Any recommendations regarding EZ-Pass transponders? I put mine on with included tape and it fell off and bounced away during a highway ride. I want to purchase the bigger windshield anyway and don't want to put the tape on the new window. I see RamMount does not have a holder, can it be read in the front compartment? What do you use for EZ-Pass?
Finally, have ridden it in minor twisties in Catskills and Bear Mountain, have ridden it in NYC (too big and and I am too green), have taken first six hour ride to Richmond VA and back (after thorough breakin and initial service of course) and it handled great. Will later take it on the dragon (which I have done on a smaller bike - OK a Suzuki Burgman 400 scooter) and ride it to FL where I may come back via an Iron Butt Ride. Hope they don't deduct points going on the comfort of a Vision.
Glad to be here... |

The rest of the time the Vision is pure bliss. I live in the Richmond area if you want to pm the next time you're down this way we can get some BBQ. |

Posts: 204 West Knoxville TN | The EZ pass can be held on by the optional holder. They make a 3 suction cup mount for the unit. You can attach it to the windscreen down low and use a piece of string if you feel the need to make a teather to keep it from falling from the bike. I have the suction mount and it has never came loose when in use. |

First, check the events Calendar on this site for upcoming rides & events.
There's talk of a fall east coast Vision get together somewhere in these forums.
Nest, consider joining the sister site, Victory-Riders Network which allows you to create your own groups (riding or geographical).
Enjoy!!

Posts: 27 New York City | Just got back from a fantastic ride led by Jeff from this site in Northern Vermont, beautiful country and great folks to ride with.
On the way up I stopped by Locomotion dealership in Suffern NY. Though they had handlebar mounts for EZ-Pass transponders, of course Vision handlebars are square-ish and the mount wouldn't fit. poking around we came up with a Garmin mount for Ram-mount and though it was not made for it, the EZ-Pass fit! So if anyone is looking for one, this makes a good solution, especially since there are two spots for Ram balls on the Vision!
So far 2500 miles and counting!

Posts: 111 Salina, KS | Howdy bpilgrim! Glad to hear you're enjoying the new bike. I'm thinking this is the bike my local dealer in Columbia, MO raffled off if I'm not mistaken for the Central Missouri Honor Flight. Congratulations on the new bike! |

Posts: 27 New York City | It is indeed the bike form Columbus MO. I had it shipped to NY so that I could break it in without throwing it to a half continent weekend ride. But in 2011 I hope to make ride it out to MO to thank the dealer and the firefighters who raffled it off. See you next year! |
