I have 55,000 miles on the bike with no wheel bearing issues. The service manual says to inspect the bearings when the wheels are off. If you have the bike on a lift with the wheels off the ground, it says to rotate the wheels and check for free rotation. You can also carefully pull on the wheel to see if there is any looseness to the axle. There should be no looseness or movement. You can check your steering head bearings this way also, when the front wheel is off the ground, rotate the steering side to side and check for smooth movement. Then pull towards you carefully on the forks at the front wheel to see if there is any looseness in the bearing. The service manual does not say to replace on a set mileage just inspect and replace as needed.

82,000 on mine and still no issues. I'll be checking them again soon, and want to replace them because of the miles, as well as all the rear bushings.

I hope I don't have the same wheel bearing issues I had with my TC. I had to replace the rear wheel bearings 4 times in 45,000 miles.
