Posts: 266 Hartland, , WI | Lots of discussion on this site about the repairs we have needed on the VV and should I buy an extended warranty or not...so let's help with a little data.
My bike had been perfect...no repair issues for two years...and then a $1900 bill. I purchased an extended warranty (3 more years) right before my original one year was going to end. (my first extended warranty ever for any kind of product) A great dealer product...very reasonably priced...repairs cost me $100. I could have bought three extended warranties for the $1900 repair.

Bike was purchased on a smoke'n deal that included the 1+4 year warranty. Both my previous Vic purchases have also included extended warranties thrown in-My '99 came with a 1+4 and I learned how valuable thse can be on a first year model(great bike-still in my garage)My '03 TCD came with 1+3 warranty and was flawless in 7 years/72,000 miles of ownership. I've never purchased an extended warranty on anything but they sweeten the deal when thrown in. |

Sometimes in traffic which was very unsafe. My dealer spent several hours trying to find the source of this failure. The 5yr. extended warranty would cover the $15.00 part but not the labor time to discover which part had the intermittant problem. After over an hour on the phone with G.E. and then Polairs each saying it was the others problem to solve. I the owner had to pay for the dealers labor. Some warranty. |

| My 2010 Vision needed in the first week, a complete main wiring harness, an oil cooler, then it needed a new heated seat, and lighted tank badge. |

| You ole timers know my Vision history, everything from a new seat the first week to 5 headlite replacements and everything in between. I thought Victory did a great job with the initial 1 year, but I had to fight the folks over everything on the extended. They always ended up covering repairs but always a fight. |

Posts: 152 Litchfield Park, AZ | 2008 Vision Premium......purchased used (2000 miles in July of 2009) and so far I have only had one issue with one part that was replaced for $50. Not one other issue with the bike. Previous owner had all updates done at no charge and he also had no issues with the bike.
Never bought a warranty in my life (for anything) and never will. I am so far ahead of the game at this point that I can live with anything bad that may come along. |
