Posts: 825 , WI | What a year. 2010 will be a year that I never forget.
I rode a Jackpot on the Big Island in May.
Rode my Kingpin though all 49 states in less than 10 days. Started in Sisseton, SD on June 24th and ended in Hyder, Alaska on the 4th of July.
When I rode into Hyder I became the first person to complete the IBA 48Plus on a Victory and the first person to ride a Victory in all 50 states. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=598699 I also made to Spirit Lake for the Rally and spent a 3 day weekend in SW Wisconsin riding along the Mississippi. The area the glacier missed.
What a year! What a ride!

I would love to hear how the bike did and any pitfalls to watch out for on an adventure like this.

The bike did great!! The complete trip was almost 12,000 miles and I didn't have any problems with the bike.
A rock hit and broke the headlight in Texas. I was able to tape it back together.
This was my 5th Iron Butt ride on a Victory and I haven't had any problems on the rides. |

That trunk pack has a 2.5 gallon aux tank in it that he used 3 times to get to Hyder. His son (I think) was standing around in the background as Dad got out the map and retold the stories. I could really see the wheels spinning in that kids head. Very cool. |

Not my son but one of many people that I was able to talk to that weekend.
I do enjoy telling the story. I don't type much but I do talk a lot! |

I'm almost 200 miles SE of Sparta. I'm just south of Milwaukee. |
