CrossRoads, Pa. | I am having a problem with my Cruise control, sometimes it won't come on, i mean the red LED won't come on, power on, what ever you want to call it. once the red led comes on, everything else about it works fine, set, resume, acc, dcc, etc. however sometimes it will not work for days at a time, I've called the dealer and taken it it for service twice and both times, it started working before I got to the dealer, so he can't fix it if it is working. He researched to see if Victory had any service bulletins, he said there were none. Now today it stopped working again for the 3rd time, no amount of pushing, etc would make the red led come on, I originally thought it was a loose power connection at the switch, but now I don't think it is because once it was working last week one day, i juggled wires until the cows come home and I could not get it to stop working; it just has a mind of it's own, I cannot tell when it will stop or start working. Anyone had a similar problem? and maybe a fix or something to look for? thanks,

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I had a dog named Lucky. After getting his paw cut in a bear trap and lost his leg, he survived falling off a cliff, a tangle with a mountain lion, kicked by a horse. He finally got ran over by a car and drug himself home and died.
Just kidding - but yes, I did have that erractic behavior of the cruise in the early days when I used it. One day it just started working okay and have not had a problem since, but I use it rarely to begin with. I think it may have come around a time when wires were removed and then reconnected for something. I would trace each one, dielectric the connections and see what happens from there.

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | One thing that will make a cruise control not work is if u have a sticking brake pedal/lever. I don't mean sticking where the brakes are holding u back. I mean sticking where the brake light is on still and ur not aware of it! It happened to me on 2 prior Kawasakis I've owned...

CrossRoads, Pa. | I have checked the front & rear brake switches & lights, nothing sticking there, also followed wires to internals, couldn't see anything obvious. I think it has finally stopped working permanently so the dealer should be able to fix it now. thanks,
