Hello All
Had a very embarassing thing happen to me today. I was slowing down to stop at a light on my Vision. I was wearing tennis shoes with long shoelaces on them. Right before i was getting ready to put my feet down to stop, my shoelace jamed around the cluch pedal. The Vision went down right in the middle of the road. My face turned red, I got up, picked the bike up and jumped back on. That was embarrasing enough but then I had to sit there at the light and wait for it to turn green. There is a bright side to this story though, the Tip Over Pertection worked like a charm and I did'nt have a scrath on my baby.

Jeez, anyone get the license plate of that flame thrower? I had my laces caught 2weeks ago and it scared the crap outta me! Reinforced the importance of good boots along with the recent fall!

I've got some real nice combat styled safety boots that zip up on the side. I never un-tie them, just un-zip and zip whenever they come off or go on. Just takes seconds. And the laces are double tied short at the top of the 8" boot. Also there are no metal components so they will not set off a metal detector. For anybody that's interested here's a link to just one of many suppliers on line.

BTW there is a version without the side zip so if you want the zipper make sure that's what you are looking at when you shop on line.

I did exactly the same thing at the store at Deals Gap. What a helpless feeling when you can not move your foot. Same deal on the tip overs and I have the chrome covers and it did no damage to them.

Know what you mean about that clutch pedal thing; my gas pedal is on backwards; the further you push it down, the slower you go.

Very common issue-your foot is on upside-down. Fix that and you should be ok.

Had the same thing happen to me wearing sneakers. I normally wear boots but wasn't one day. Loop of shoelace was caught on rear brake lever. Lucky for me I was able to nudge the bike to the left and hold it with the other foot before I tipped over..
