| Greetings,
Just traded my '06 HD Road King for a new '09 8-ball less than a week ago.
Almost bought this same bike two years ago, but went with the bagger.
After tiring of overpriced parts and service, among other things, I decided to go back to a Cruiser.
The Kingpin is a blast to ride. Ergo's make it feel like a custom built-to-fit bike. Unbelievable difference over the twin-cam 88 in throttle response and torque. The tranny is smooth and quiet, as is the engine (and it only has 250 miles on it). She had 12 miles on the odometer when I test rode it, and today I'm over halfway to the 500 mile maint.
I can't imagine it getting smoother as it gets more broken in.
The dealer already had installed the black shotgun pipes, intake, superfly screen & luggage rack. As I was wanting to go for a stripped down bike, this was set up & ready to go.
Since taking this pic, I've added a Lindby multibar engine guard, and a small toolbag. Things are pretty much set for now, except for logging some miles.

But not the best looking. My VISION always gets the cameras and camera phones out everywhere I go. NO other bike does that.... |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Greg - Love the look of that bike! If you have a photo of you and the bike, send it to me (webmaster@ this site). I'm looking to update the photo for the Kingpin-riders.com front page.
Actually that goes for anybody here, send me a good photo of you and your bike (best quality possible) and I'll try to get it on the front page. |
