| I was at the local Victory dealership in Houston, Texas to day inquiring about a back rest for my 2010 VV. They told me that I would have to buy another seat with the Passenger Back Rest. They don't sell the old one that attach where the trunk bolts on.
Anybody know where I can get one of the older Passenger Back Rest?
I took off the Trunk and I really like it better with it off.
Thanks!

Best thing you can do is a search on ebay or Craigs list and hope you get lucky. Same thing goes for the luggage rack that attaches to the back rest. Here's a link to one I found, if it's really available. I would jump on this if I were you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Victory-Vision-Luggage-Rack-Passenger-Backrest-2010-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5adbc1b737QQitemZ390233962295QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_1325wt_896 |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | So, are you saying that the Vision Passenger Backrest for the Street version is no longer available, period, from Victory? And are you saying there is a seat that has one already attached? Would this be because of the cut in the panel? What about a luggage rack for this set-up? |

The back rest is listed but not available on line. I rode with my dealer this weekend and he told me I got mine just in time. He has customers asking and he can no longer order them from Victory. If you want one you must find one that is in stock at a dealer or a private individual. They still list the luggage rack but it too is supposedly going away, according to my dealer. If you want one you better get on it!!! |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | My sources at Victory indicated they were not completely happy with the way the backrest mounted or the fact that you had to cut/drill the back panel which meant variations in the quality of the mod based on skills of the wrench. They want to improve on the design but did not mention when/if a replacement would be offered. I'm sure one is in the works, it was a popular accessory. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Thanks Jeff, as I always felt the cut out was lame and nearly impossible to put in the grommets. Hacking into a $100 piece of plastic and hope you get it right did bother me, but with the rack you'd have to purposely look under it to see the hack job and malaligned rubber. |

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | Oh brother, lets use some common sense here. The reason they discontinued it is because they stopped making the Vision Street. ALL the Visions now come with the trunk, therefore their need to make a backrest pretty much dropped to 0. The likelyhood of someone taking off their padded trunk, and installing the backrest is pretty nill. Why would Victory make something no one would need. It was really only made to suffice those of us who didnt want the Tour but wanted the Street. Now that they are all Tours...... hello OBSOLETE ! |

| Well, I guess I'm one of the unlikely ones. I didn't like the look of the Vision with the trunk attached so I took it off and replaced it with a backrest and rack. We're going on a ride to Colorado for a week and will use a Saddlemen's bag that fits on the rack perfectly and holds as much as the trunk. I bet I'm not the only one who replaced the truck with a backrest. I'm glad it was still available when I bought my '10.

Thinking outloud: I'm guessing that there have been kick back over Victory telling the owner to hack into a $100.00 panel and stuff in rubber grommets to make it look pretty. If they sell the back-rest, they have to tell you to do it that way. All this has been very lame, like another after thought to take care of another issue.

Posts: 741 Central New York | Out of curiosity I took my seat and rear panel off today to poke around a bit. I recon they will come back with the same backrest but with some kind of stand alone filler panel/luggage rack arrangement. It would be possible to cobble some sort of backrest onto the seat but nothing that would support a rack. The trunk mount point is about all there is back there. |

Posts: 262 Flowery Branch Ga | It's very true, it has been discontinuied. My dealer is trying to get one from Canada for me. I don't understand the reason for taking a product off the market without a replacement ready to go on the market. I will attempt to talk to the factory rep tomorrow at the demo. VaParadox-The Vision 8Ball does not come with a trunk.

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | Yes they now may ALL be tours but that does not mean everybody wants to keep it that way. I bought the Tour over the Street in 08 so I could have the best of both worlds. I took the trunk off in February of 08 and never put it back on. When it's time to trade her in on a new one the new trunk will be on the wall. I guess I better keep my back rest for my next VV. |

Posts: 262 Flowery Branch Ga | Big Vic The 8Ball still comes trunkless. I havent seen or heard about a replacement for the backrest. My dealer had to get mine from Canada, it wasn't cheap as they charged him full price plus tax, shipping, and customs fees. I kinda felt bad about it, but it was part of the deal.

Same here... Both my wife's and mine trunks are mounted on the wall... No plans to put them back on... I guess I will also be holding on it my backrest...
Unless someone offers me a lot of money for it |
