I am planning to order my 2011 Victory Tour sometime in early October. (After test ride)

I have foot drop and can't easily shift a toe shifting motorcycle.
I must have a heel-toe shifter.

Does anyone else use the Victory Vision's heel-toe shifter?
If so, are you happy with it or do you have issues with it?

This foot drop issue would be the only reason I wouldn't order the Vision.

I use the heel/toe shifter off the Kingpin. It works good for me. I have also seen several new heel/toe shifters that are made for the Vision. But I'll stick with what works for me. ET

I have the Vision heel/toe shifter and love it. Once you get use to it you won't want it any other way.

Here is my write up of the Heel Toe Shifter install. It works very well but I wish the front and back height could be set independently.

The heel/toe shifter is the best money I have spent on my Vision

I saw on some website that there is a heel shifter that bolts on to the existing toe shifter. Does anyone know about that?

It isn't like the old school shifters, and you will have to get used to it. Once you do it works great. The smaller your feet are (bigfoot) the more you will need move your foot to shift.

I have found the heel part of the shifter is too tall, they do need a better design. Ti makes me think it was designed very quickly and not as well thought out as the bike was. Just my comment.

I had a delay in getting mine installed when I first picked up my bike, but once it was on, I agree with the statements about not wanting to have it.

I found that initially it was a little high, but once I adjusted it down it now works perfectly. In doing this it brought the toe up so that I can now slide my foot under the toe part when it is a little cold or raining to get the protection of the fairing.

I can remember Sue telling me, "Use the heel shifter!" on my '99. I had the toe-heel shifter installed when I picked up Anny. I took my '99 for a ride yesterday and missed a couple of shifts cause the shifter is in a different location. O.o It's okay I stayed in the mirror of a V-Rod till he turned off. 85 down RT 184 felt good with no windshield.

Actually bought mine before my bike was delivered... would not ride without one! Should be standard.

Becareful when using a heal shifter I know 2 people that had bent shift forks by a heal shifter.. my guess is they were hitting the shifter way to hard?

Other than Iron Butt's answer, I guess there isn't much of a problem with Victory's heal-toe shifter.

Thanks to all who replied.

I plan on having it installed before I pick up the bike.

Just installed the Heel-toe shifter today. Like said above, the toe section is quite tall... I'll fiddle with the positions. Question: how do you turn the turnbuckle (it's round) without buggering it up? Once I loosened the lock nuts, I still couldn't turn it.

I gripped it with vise-grips and turned it with that. Then tighten the nuts again once you have it set comfortably.

On my 2011 VV I just added the heal part, very easy to attach. The toe shifter comes with 2 holes were you attach the heal part. It took a few miles to get use to since the heal part is very narrow. After a couple hundred miles I'm glad I added it to the bike.
