I roll this road every morning and on Tuesday one of my co-workers that drives this way also told me he seen this big round biker dressed in black laying in the middle of I-95 and thought it was me. The description fit me, but when he saw the bike he knew it wasn't me. I'm just glad the dude is okay; I'm going on a diet though...

Debris in the road is not unusual through here either as my wife hit a car waterpump that apparently fell off a junk truck a few years ago.

I have been on this kick lately about people not doing their job or giving a crap about anything.

A few weeks ago, during the day when I was at work, a gravel truck must have come around the corner by my house and laid a nice curve of gravel and dirt on the corner. This wasn't going to affect me at all, but I had my step daughter go out there and push it all off the road so an accident didn't occur. There is a person in the hood that rides a VTX, always seems unsure of himself, and I could just see him going down in that stuff.

People need to understand how their laziness could affect other people. Chris, in your example, the water pump didn't fall off, it was never secured properly to begin with.

I agree of your assessment SB, it was at night, and she was driving a corolla that sets low to the ground to begin with. It wedge just right under the gas tank and punctured it. The insurance wouldn't pay since it was already in the road and should have been avoided, it would have been a different story had she been behind the vehicle when it lost it and was unable to avoid it.

I understand your point also on people doing their jobs. I notice alot that the wrecker crew don't clean up the fluids after an accident like they used to be required to do, leaving some pretty slick spots, especially when it rains soon after. I worked wrecker in No. Va back in the day and we didn't leave the scene until it was cleaned.

I hate to say it but that is what our society has come - people not caring - or only caring about them selves...
