Check this web site out its from the Progressive international motor cycle show.
If they close our American plants and move to Mexico they will lose me as a customer, I cann't speak highly enough about Victory. They build the best on the market as far as I'm concerned. Polaris Osceola, Wisconsin needs there jobs just like the rest of us. Do not be greedy, Polaris, make a profit and be happy youre selling products. I for one have been laid off of work for a year now. I have 4 years of payments on my Vision left and hope I can make the rest. Most of my savings are gone. Soon I hope to be working on a revitalization of a steel mill with some of Obama's tax money reinvesting into America Industry. Otherwise there would be little construction in this area.
If any one in charge at Polaris reads this, please do not build a plant in the Monterrey/Saltillo area of Mexico, or soon there will not be anyone left in this country to buy your product. |

Posts: 599 New Mexico | If I recall, this does not affect the Victory Motorcycle production. Beginning of article states:
"Editor's Note: It was confirmed through Victory's spokesperson that the Victory Freedom V-Twin engine assembly, which was done at the Osceola, Wisconsin, plant, will be moved to Spirit Lake, not Mexico." |

| Not the motor, but jobs lost in painting, welding and assembly operations. I wouldn't be happy if it was my job, (I would think these jobs are performed at the Spirit lake plant?? first the 4 wheel recreation vevicles then who knows what the future holds for Victory ) if so thats the point I'm trying to get across.
I don't mind a $25000 price tag on a motorcycle made in in the US, but I sure as heck am not going to pay that amount of money just so they can put more money in their pockets. Corperate Greed will be the down fall of this country. I will build my own bike before that happens, no matter how long it takes, and be proud of it.
This country can not stand to lose any more jobs.
But thats just my take.

| Yeah this sucks, but good luck with the whole built in America b.s. it just doesn't happen to often nowadays. I love my Vics but even if they were going to Mexico, but they are not i would still buy a superior product and that is what i have in my Victory bikes. |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | This has been hashed over before. The entire Victory manufacturing process (engine building, painting, welding, assembly) will be done in one place, Spirit Lake, IA. |

Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | Yeah, I live in Spirit Lake and we are proud to be manufacturing Victory all under one roof. They have been actively hiring new employees and the trend will continue as they integrate the engine assembly here.
The ATV production in Mexico is strategically placed there due to the majority of the demand being in Mexico and South America. We sometimes think in the US, that we are the only customers for products in the world . . . Polaris is a global company and that move may actually make sense. |

| If the state of Wisconsin can give harley davidson a tax break why not polaris.
I live here in minesota so you here on the news how polaris is moving and the 600 people in Osceola are screwed. It makes you want to cry. They say that the majority of kids that graduate go to polaris for work There is no wall mart or target in they town a few bars and one gas station. Osceola is trying to find a company that will movie into the building and keep people employed but no luck.
If I was polaris I would sew the state of Wisconsin for not helping us when you help others.
I don't see them moving victory to Mexico cause the harley would have all the market.
I tip my vision over to day and harley ride help me pick it up. The motor never quiet and the harley guys gave me a little shit at the next bar but I told it was rider being dumb. And that was it we all laugh good. |

| The state of Wisconsin is very much unfriendly to business, even to businesses that are not in Wisconsin but employ Wisconsin residents. The hassle in dealing with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue is the reason my company now has a policy of hiring only Illinois residents even though we are literally a stones throw away from the IL/WI state line. Wisconsin as a state is going to kill their economy with their current policies of high state income tax rate (over 7%), taxing the elderly that are on a fixed income at the same rate as everyone else, one of the most supportive (read as costliest) welfare systems in the country, and treating business as simply something to tax to death they just don't get it. |

I have been a General Manager of a major automotive parts manufacturer and now I do consulting advising CEO in Manafacturing, Healthcare, and the US Military. When states act in this manner, it makes the decision to moves jobs that much easier. Thank goodness there was a business friendly State in the US that can recieve these important jobs. Please get out and vote this November! |
