Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Just passing along some information concerning your Vision, or Victory key. I probably get more use out of my key than most and have been using my original key since day one. I've noticed lately, especially the trunk, it is more difficult to unlock. This gets concerning, especally if I got my gear in there, or something else. I'm persistant so I usully get it unlocked after a few minutes at most. I'm thinking my trunk lock needs to be replaced because it is worn. I decide to try the never used spare key and it works perfectly, so I deduce it is my original key.
I took the spare key and had to go to a locksmith that handles every imageable key made for vehicles and it appears the Victory uses on similar to the Kawasakis. It is also the recommned key for Victory from the book they have of references. It is ever so slightly thicker than the Victory key, and a little lite filing on the side takes care of that, but I'm using the new key now and it makes the locks feel new again.
My recommendation is that you also regularly lube your key and lock to keep the wear to a minimum.
That's all I got to say about that... |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | thanks mudge, I think that is what they said.
Update: I was trying to see how I could make the new key look cool and then I realized the spare key is the same key without the emblem. So I pryed out the emblem on my old key and glued them in the spare key, which is now back to the way I like it. I'm taking the new key and making it the spare key and all is well. |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | After temporarily losing my bike key (found later in my car), I decided I wanted a basic flat spare key to keep in my wallet. I ended up with a Silica KW14. The cross-reference indicated that these blanks all work. There are also several others, besides these, varying in overall length and head designs. This listing are some of the more common basic flat key blanks that will work.
ILCO X259
ILCO KW14
SILICA KW14
CURTIS KA18
CURTIS KA20
JET KA29
JMA KAW-2I

Posts: 277 Apopka, FL | When I had my TC, I had a locksmith make a spare key for me. He looked at it and promptly went to his Kawasaki blanks. Said the Victory keys were made by Kawasaki. Don't know if that holds for Visions now or not. |
