Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | I know many of you in the colder regions have parked the bikes for the winter............. but I can't take it any more! It's currently 17 deg. F in Greenfield, Indiana with steady winds of 14 mph out of the northwest. I'm puting on the heated gear and heading out for a much needed ride. Roads are clear and dry I can't wait, been thinking about this all day at work today. May even ride in to work in the morning, expecting a sunny clear day with a low tonight of 6 deg. F. The other riders at work won't be able to look me in the eyes all day. |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | Hey, they called me crazy this morning at work for riding in at 40 degrees...only bike in the parking lot. I did see another rider on the road, he was on an Ultra. We're not crazy, just hooked! Watch out for the slick stuff up there! |

| Put a orange flag on your bike so when you get barred in the snow we will know where to dig.
For the bike. LOL

Posts: 3204 Memphis | 21 degrees when I rode in this morning. I normally cruise at about 75-80 mph but I saw so many H-D window stickers and license plate frames on the way in that I would slow down to let them get the perfect view and tone as I went by at 70 mph. Passed at least a dozen. I let the gate guard warm his hands up on my left grip for a few seconds before he waved me through. No bugs on the windshield and unlimited parking spots. I love a cold clear day. |

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | Well I rode about 25 miles and it wasn't too bad, until I realised my heated gloves were not working. To say the least the ol' fingers got pretty cold by the time I made it home. Discovered there was a plug that is in an inside pocket of my heated jacket that was disconnected. This is the source of the "juice" for the glove plugs at each rist. Now the gloves get toasty warm when I plug the jacket in. Also kind of needed a little more neck insulation, I have just the thing for that. It's called a "Turtle Fir". Basically a thick stretchy fleece thing that goes around the neck just under the helmet. I did have a blast and by the way you know how folks give us vision riders the rubber neck stare when we go by. You should try riding a vision around town when it's 15 degrees. You realy realy realy get some crazy looks from other drivers. |

Hope you enjoy rubbing it in to all those fair weather tough guys again. Watch out for the ice. |

Posts: 444 Bay of Gigs, WA | The rain quit for the whole weekend, just about, and I was able to use the Vision to run down to the auto parts store for a power steering pump for the jeep, then again later Sat to return the core. Not fancy, only about 20 miles total, but out there, just the same. 37 degrees, near Tacoma, WA, only needed my summer cotton gloves with the grips on low and the seat on high. Gotta love this thing! |

| A friend told me the way to buy a motorcycle is. First buy some glove and a jacket and if there not the lind that heats up don't spend your money.
Heated clothing adds a month or more to your love of riding.
Thank You heated clothing company's. |

Posts: 88 Billings, MT | The guys up in my area have called F&^#ing nuts for years! I have been known to go for bike rides as low as 5 below zero. I go out as often as i can as long as roads are bare and dry. Sometimes the bare and dry roads are optional! |

Posts: 188 Tifton, GA | Just got back from a nice 56 to 62 degree ride. Wife wanted to ride Liandra on the way home and I let her. That may have been an expensive mistake. As I followed on her C50T she slowed going into the first curve we came to. That was the last time she slowed for anything except stop signs or cars that she caught. I rode to work the other morning at 23 degrees my record low and I live just 70 miles north of the FL state line in GA. Be careful of the ice and snow, but the Vision makes riding in low temps worth getting geared up. |

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | I would be riding right now instead of on the computer, except the snow in the driveway is a little too deep. The temp is 21f and the roads are pretty much dry but unfortunately I can't get to them from the garage. Also there is an awful lot of sand on the roads, especially at the intersections. The cold is no problem, I just don't want to risk too much at this point just to say I went for a ride. In the mean time Flash is parked facing the garage door with battery minder plugged in and a full tank of gas for when I decide to pull the trigger. For the hard core folks just be careful, and have a blast if you dare!! Chris |

Downtown Vancouver other side of the park. We ride anytime the rain lets up - rarely more than a week without riding.

Posts: 1308 Sand Rock, AL United States | If the roads don't have frozen precip. on them and my bike will crank, I ride regardless of rain or temp. Coldest this year was 12. Wind isn't something to consider when riding a bike in my opinion. If so I ride in 80mph winds every day.

Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | Broke down today and purchased a heated jacket liner. After planning a 30 mile ride in the low 20's and unexpectedly going for 90 a few weeks ago I found that I needed a little more than the Under Armour to keep my back warm. Yes, warm weather is a bit more enjoyable, but any day in the saddle beats using the cage, although unexpected ice has caused me to reconsider this on a couple of occasions.

Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | 40 degrees plus light rain today for a 1.5 hour commute each way to a gig. Fun times!!! I was surprised they didn't cancel the gig.
On the plus side, heated grips/seat were AWESOME, rain gear held up well (dry when I get home), and bike is working and sounding good. Starting to feel like more of an extension of myself each time i ride.

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | ...35 overnight, yeah right, I've been to the bike already and the metal part have ice on it. It'll be raining overnight into the morning, the Jeep is at the shop for warranty work and the wife is going to S.C. I guess I'll have to man up and ride in near freezing rain to work. |

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | yeah, it was good to ride today, but the temp was teetering on freezing. Just north of where I was heading, they had icy road conditions causing numerous accidents according to the radio. I rode with Prudence, she is one heck of a gal.... |
