Ok so I just picked up my new left over 2009 vision this week end. 1 mile on it . Dealer put their
company business sticker on it . I could'nt believe it . I went balistic and they tried to peel it off by running
their finger nail back and forth to get an edge to grip . Left a mark in the clear coat very visible as well as
some adhesive residue anybody got a solution for a fix .

Go to the hardware store and buy some (glue be gone) and that will take care of the glue. It doesn't harm the paint.
As for the nail scratches look for some fine rubbing compound and use a microfiber cloth. Wet the cloth and it will not be as abrasive. It the old days we used tooth paste but now every thing is a gel. Rub gently.
Matter of fact buy a lot of the microfiber towels and use them for waxing. I use three towels when waxing one to take some of the wax off and the next one to take the rest off and the 3rd for the buffing. When you wash the towels never use fabric softener cause there is petroleum in the softener. Never let your wax freeze but then I think you in a warm state. I uses meguires wax clean and come away with the best shine and before each ride just go over the bike with a California duster. I live in minnesota and in the summer the bugs are bad at times. So when I get home I wipe the front of the bike off with a hot wet towel and the bugs come off way easier then the next day. Yes I use a microfiber towel for that to.
Have a great time ridding a really great bike.

Enjoy your new ride.
Why get upset if the sticker is on your bike? If they treated you good and you like them enough to buy from them don't you want others to go there?

Hi Charley, looks like you are an expert in cool of Vehicles, first with the 09 vision and then with the Toyota Landcruiser ( FJ40 ) Great stuff! What year is the Cruiser? I have a 75 FJ40 and a 77 fj45, had an 08 Tour Premium (lost in an accident) and I am now waiting for spring for a new 2011. Sorry to hear about the sticker, Goo be gone works great.

What color is your vision. If it is black.... you are going to be waxxing it alot if you want to keep it looking decent. The factory clear is very soft and tends to "spider webb". Best solution i have found is use 3m- dark glaze, then put Mequiars " Tech Wax" . Leave on the wax 20 min. then buff off with microfiber towel. Quickest and easiest solution for the problem.

As for me, I use Goo Gone. Probably the same stuff as Glue be gone but named differently I guess.
But this stuff works great. But have some great ventilation and don't bring it into the kitchen - #1 gets really upset over that smell.

When I got my new Vision, I used brake cleaner to remove the fuel decal in front of the seat. I would have made the dealer remove the sticker since he put it on there and repair any damage done or replace the damaged panel. I hate when they do that. Maybe they should have asked your permission before they stuck it on there provided it wasnt there when when you 1st looked @ the bike.

I hate that sticker crap too. I used some goo gone and a blow dryer to warm the sticker up.

Goo be gone as mentioned for the glue then do a search here for "Liquid Glass." It will put a rock hard coating over your nice paint and prevent any future scuffies or scratches. It will also make any fine paint scratches, swirls, etc disappear...... Almost every autozone sells LG and it costs about $12 for a bottle/can. You'll be hard pressed to ever use it all up

Update a year later .Ok so the dealer sucks its been a year and they have blown me off on warranty work and the fix they agreed to pay for a detail to fix sticker damage . They Now want to negotiate the cost of repair saying I need to eat half the cost .
Salesmen was nothing less than dishonest and owner is no better. Beware of buying from dealer in west Portland OR. area they will lie to do a deal and renig on written agreements saying take me court if you don't like it . FYI there were no stickers on bikes on display and all conversations on buying were done with the knowledge this was an unmolested new bike still in the crate .

Once I buy a bike or a car it is my property, not theirs. Any dealer who asks for the decal to stay on is given the going advertising rate. So far none have been willing to pay and all decals have been removed.

Red Rider likes the sticker crap. So lets all send him our stickers so he can advertise everyone's business for free. Heck, if I could find something to replace it I'd get rid of the "Victory" label too!
