Now that's pretty cool. The engine seems to be some kind of early hybrid rotary type. I'll bet mechanics had a hell of a time trying to figure that one out! Would have made it easy to remove the engine for rebuilds though.

It's not a rotary engine, it's a radial engine common to vintage (and some modern) aircraft.

Fun design, but I bet the steering was something else.
