Posts: 15 Nashville | Greetings,
I know we have plenty of threads on GPS, but so far I have not seen a GPS diagram for a 2010 Victory Vision. The 'o8 & 'o9's have 4 wire connections and the '10 have 5. Does any any know the difference in the diagrams?
Also, does anyone know if it is possible to remove the Garmin mounting disk if it is installed on the center console? Does it leave marks? I have not installed it yet, but I am considering in doing so for the cleaner look (like other have done) when the GPS is not in use. In addition, it will provide me with plenty of freedom to change gps in the future....
As always, any help is greatly appreciated.... |

The 2010 has 5 inputs because they fudged it to allow stereo audio input from the new style GPS (with a common ground).
please see the two attached pics for the plug.
Note that the plug wiring diagram is wrong, P1 and P2 are reversed. The rest of the GPS wiring diagram in the 2010 manual is crap, too.
Red = +12V
Black/white = gnd
Blue/Orange = GPS Audio pos (right channel)
Gray/Blue = GPS Audio neg (common)
Blue/Pink = GPS Audio pos (left channel)
If you are trying to attach an older GPS to the 2010 harness, leave the Blue/Pink one disconnected an all will be well.

have fun

Posts: 15 Nashville | Picard, thank you so much. This is exactly what I was looking for. What I see is that the minilocks conectors are also different from the '09 models. By any chance, do you the name of this one or where could I buy it? Thank you so much for all your support. |

Posts: 15 Nashville | I check the website you provided on the link, but they seem to have only the 7 position male housing, but we need the 5 position in order to work with the '10 connector. Right? |

Posts: 111 Prairie Dog Heaven, CO | I have not been able to find a source for the new style connectors. Even tried to get them from Polaris but they refused to sell them to me (or my dealer). Very disappointed with the attitude of their customer care.
So I cut mine off and used the old style on the bike side. You could really use any style connector that is reasonably waterproof or not even since it's going to live under the console. |

Posts: 15 Nashville | Picard, thank you so much for the update, and i am sorry for the experience with Victory. To be honest with you It is sad and disappointing to see how they treat their own customers; especially, when they are willing to buy parts from them. Having put only 80 miles on mi bike, I cant wait to go riding. I just hope Victory will come through in the event that something were to happen.
At any rate, thank you for all the great support you provide us on this site. |
